What happened to the notion of a manual S3?

The 2015 Audi S3 comes standard with a Six speed dual clutch automatic transmission. It comes optional with a Six speed dual clutch automatic transmission. That means that it doesn't have a manual transmission, It hasn't and chances are it won't. I've got nothing against automatic transmissions, They're better for traffic and congested areas. I'd gladly take one with an automatic transmission for commuting. It's just the fact that there always will be people who want manual transmission, and others who want automatic transmission. There's nothing wrong with having the automatic version of a car, and the S3 is certainly no excuse. But shouldn't the performance version of the A3 at least have the option for a manual transmission? Don't quote me, But I personally think that offering a manual transmission on the S3 would boost their sales, and the following behind the S3. It would also set it apart from the majority of it's competitors. Yes, I'm looking at you Mercedes Cla45 AMG.

I'd love an S3. The exterior styling is great, and the interior looks just as amazing as it could possibly be. The performance of the S3 is just another area where this car excels. The 0-60 time is 4.4 seconds. That's .1 of a second slower than a Lotus Evora and .5 of a second faster than it's big brother, The S4. The top speed is limited to 155, As of the S4. With Quattro added into the mix, It looks on paper to be a top rate performer.

Last September, Audi was apparently "Strongly considering" sticking a 6-Speed manual in the S3. Nothing has happened since then, and I'm beginning to get the feeling that they aren't going to at all. It's a bit of a shame really, Currently the A4 and S4 both have manual transmission optional. But I've got the feeling that neither of them will have the option for manual transmission when the B9 A4 comes out, and that's a real shame.

I personally hope that Audi Of America at least offers it, But if they don't.....Oh well. I couldn't afford one either way.

The only people who buy stick shift German luxury vehicles don't buy them new. Therefore, it probably wouldn't boost sales much, if it all.

Well, If nobody bought them new..... Then why are there tons of them used.

I've got a German stick shift luxury vehicle, I'm on my second one actually. No, I didn't buy them new, But somebody did.

If my dream comes true, and I'm able to actually to actually go somewhere in my life I'd buy a brand new S4. Pretty much loaded, With our Lord Manuél inside. After that, If Audi stops selling manual cars I'd switch to BMW if they still are.

If things don't go as planned, I'll just stick with used Audis.

Don't be scared of used Audis!!! Manuél wouldn't want it that way.

Aw man! It's probably better for the little one though, That is true.

I'm looking into getting a better B7 than the one that I had. An Avant, Or just a better color combo. I couldn't into white. Or somehow finding a stripper B8 for a good price. The B5 is just getting a bit too old for daily driving.

Kid (our first, oh shit!) ins't due until July so I have time. Ideally I'd leave the A4 and the Corolla at the dealership and leave with two Subbies but one can dream.

I have done a bit of looking into the A5, but I haven't seen them in my budget with the 6-Speed manual yet. I'll keep my eyes peeled for sure, Haha.

Maybe lease a new Subie, Buy a CPO one? Two is better than one after all :) They are great family cars though.
